Premier League: Bournemouth vs Burnley preview
Relegation-threatened Burnley will be looking to take as many points they can get when they visit Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday. The reverse fixture produced a memorable triumph for the Clarets, they won 4-0 at Turf Moor with goals from Matej Vydra, Aaron Lennon and a double from Ashley Barnes. That was the first victory for Burnley over Bournemouth in the last three home matches, but overall the Clarets have won three of the last six direct matches in all competitions. Burnley defeated Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium last season, that match ended 2-1. Bournemouth are set to have a quiet season finale, last year they finished in 12th place and it seems they will get the same position this time as well. They have a ten-point advantage over 18th-placed Cardiff, so relegation can't be a concern at the moment, while 13th-placed Crystal Palace are just two points behind. Last week the Cherries lost 2-0 at Leicester, a result that dampened their hopes of climbing into the top half of the league table. They have won just one of their last eight Premier League matches, and that victory was at already-relegated Huddersfield. Lewis Cook, Simon Francis, Steve Cook and Andrew Surman are out injured, while Adam Smith might recover from a minor hamstring strain. Burnley need just a few more points to avoid relegation this season, they are five points clear of 18th-placed Cardiff at the moment and tied on 33 points with Southampton and Brighton. In theory, the Clarets would need just a couple more wins to secure their survival, and Saturday's match at Bournemouth would be a great opportunity. Last week the Clarets won 2-0 at home against Wolves, ending a streak of four consecutive defeats in the Premier League. Steven Defour is still out injured, while winger Aaron Lennon is an injury doubt for manager Sean Dyche. Probable line-ups: Bournemouth: Begovic - Smith, Mepham, Ake, Daniels - Brooks, Gosling, Lerma, Fraser - Wilson, King Burnley: Heaton - Bardsley, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor - Hendrick, Westwood, Cork, McNeil - Barnes, Wood My prediction: Burnley to win 2-1, the Clarets have strong motivation while the Cherries are lacking that and are in poor shape as well. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Bournemouth win - 2.05 Draw - 3.50 Burnley win - 3.40
