Tottenham are looking to bounce back after a miserable week when they host Watford at Wembley Stadium in London in the Premier League on Wednesday. The Hornets won the reverse fixture 2-1 in September, Abdoulaye Doucoure put the Spurs ahead with an own-goal but then Troy Deeney and Craig Cathcart scored to turn the result around. The two teams have also met in the League Cup this season and Tottenham won that match on penalties after a 2-2 draw in 90 minutes. Overall, Tottenham have won three of the last six direct matches in all competitions, while Watford have won just one.
Tottenham had a terrible few days in the domestic cups last week. On Thursday they missed out on qualification to the League Cup final even though they had a 1-0 advantage over Chelsea from the first leg. They lost the match 2-1 and the also lost the penalty shoot-out as both Eric Dier and Lucas Moura failed to convert from the spot. Then they also lost 2-0 at Crystal Palace in the FA Cup on Sunday, with both goals conceded in the first half before Kieran Trippier missed a penalty for the Spurs. Dele Alli and Harry Kane are still out injured, but Son Heung-Min is available again after South Korea got knocked out of the Asian Cup.
Watford had a much better time in the FA Cup last week, they grabbed a 2-0 victory at Newcastle and will face either Portsmouth or Queens Park Rangers in the fifth round. That result extended their unbeaten streak to six matches in all competitions. However, the Hornets have won just one of their last four Premier League matches. They are currently seventh in the Premier League table and they will probably fight for that spot until the end of the season, because the teams above are too far away already. Kiko Femenia and Sebastian Prodl are expected to miss out through injury, while Abdoulaye Doucoure is a doubt.
Tottenham: Lloris - Aurier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose - Dier, Winks - Lamela, Eriksen, Son - Llorente
Watford: Foster - Janmaat, Mariappa, Kabasele, Holebas - Cleverley, Capoue - Hughes, Pereyra - Deeney, Deulofeu
My prediction: Tottenham to win 2-1, Watford will make the match very difficult but the Spurs should be able to get all three points.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
Tottenham win - 1.66
Draw - 4.00
Watford win - 5.75

Spurs are having problems when they are playing without Kane, he is very important for them. That's why odds are little high on Tottenham win.
That game has been a deja vu for both sides in terms
ms of how the result went up, just like in the first meeting of the season between them
The away team took the lead scoring early and then the home side scored a couple to turn things around.
It was a vital win for Spurs in their title pursuit (if that's the case anyway) but I guess they still have their chances even if it's too unlikely for me to believe in that right now.
