Big match at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening, leaders Manchester City come to visit third-placed Chelsea in one the most interesting clash of the Premier League weekend. The two teams have already met this season, it was back in August when they clashed in the Community Shield and the Citizens prevailed 2-0 at that time thanks to a double from Sergio Aguero. Last season Manchester City won both Premier League matches against Chelsea 1-0, with Kevin De Bruyne scoring in the away fixture and Bernardo Silva in the home one. Overall, Manchester City have won four of the last six direct matches in all competitions, while Chelsea have grabbed two victories.
Chelsea seem to be losing steam in recent weeks after a formidable start to the season, two weeks ago they lost 3-1 at Tottenham and their unbeaten run in the Premier League came to an end, while this week they suffered a very surprising 2-1 defeat at Wolverhampton. Those result move them down to fourth place in the Premier League table, a whole ten points behind leaders Manchester City. Manager Maurizio Sarri might have made the wrong decision in midweek, when he rested a few key players in the match against Wolves, but now he will surely employ his best eleven as Victor Moses is the only injury concern.
Manchester City are still undefeated in the Premier League this season, and they have won thirteen of their fifteen matches so far. Last weekend the Citizens secured a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth with goals from Bernardo Silva, Ilkay Gundogan and Raheem Sterling, and this week they recorded a 2-1 victory at Watford with goals from Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez. Claudio Bravo, Eliaquim Mangala and Benjamin Mendy remain on the injured list for the Citizens, while Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero might recover in time for the match but might not be risked as they are short on match fitness.
Chelsea: Arrizabalaga - Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso - Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic - Pedro, Giroud, Hazard
Man City: Ederson - Walker, Stones, Laporte, Delph - B. Silva, Fernandinho, D. Silva - Mahrez, Jesus, Sterling
My prediction: Manchester City to win 2-1, the Citizens are superior and they will probably make that count on the score board.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Never managed to watch that game except for a few fractions from the first half and Chelsea first goal itself.
From what I saw City had a lot of position and the better of chances before Chelsea's opener but in the end not all is mathematics in the sport and if you're missing yor chances is quite likely to be punished in the end and it's exactly what Chelsea have done to City in this one.
That result just made the title race even more intriguing I guess and in fact I do believe Liverpool could make it this season.
