Premier League: Arsenal vs Tottenham preview

Rivals Arsenal and Tottenham clash in the 183rd edition of the North London derby on Sunday, this time the two teams will meet at the Emirates Stadium. Last season Arsenal won 2-0 at home against Tottenham with goals from Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez, while Tottenham won the reverse fixture 1-0 thanks to a second-half goal from Harry Kane. Tottenham have won two of the last six derby matches, while Arsenal had just one win. However, the Spurs have not won at the Emirates Stadium since 2010, when they secured a 3-2 victory. Overall, Arsenal have won the derby 76 times, while Tottenham have celebrated victory on 57 occasions.

Arsenal still have a very long unbeaten streak going, they have lost their first two matches of the season but then went eighteen matches unbeaten in all competitions. Last week they ended a run of three consecutive draws with a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth in the Premier League, while on Thursday they secured a comfortable 3-0 victory at Vorksla Poltava in the Europa League. However, the Gunners struggled to get past Bournemouth and they can count themselves quite lucky with the result considering the huge number of chances that the Cherries have squandered in that match. Danny Welbeck and Nacho Monreal are still out injured, while Alexandre Lacazette is a doubt.

Tottenham don't have such a long unbeaten streak, but they are three points ahead of the Gunners in the Premier League table, because they have not recorded any draws so far this season. They had lost against both Manchester City and Liverpool and it seemed that their inability to beat the big teams persisted, but last week the Spurs inflicted Chelsea their first defeat of the season. Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min scored in the 3-1 victory at Wembley over the Blues, and four days later Christian Eriksen scored the only goal in the 1-0 Champions League victory over Inter. Vincent Janssen, Mousa Dembele, Davinson Sanchez and Victor Wanyama are all sidelined, while Kieran Trippier is an injury doubt.

Probable line-ups:

Arsenal: Leno - Mustafi, Sokratis, Holding - Bellerin, Torreira, Xhaka, Kolasinac - Ozil, Iwobi - Aubameyang

Tottenham: Lloris - Aurier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose - Sissoko, Dier - Son Heung-Min, Alli, Eriksen - Kane

My prediction: 1-1 draw, it's the right time for the Spurs to get their first draw of the season.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Arsenal win - 2.62
Draw - 3.60
Tottenham win - 2.75
