Premier League leaders Manchester City restart their campaign after the international break with an away match, they visit West Ham United at the Olympic Stadium in London on Saturday. Last season the Citizens defeated the Hammers 4-1 in London, with Leroy Sane, Fernandinho and Gabriel Jesus on the score sheet. The reverse fixture was a lot trickier for the Citizens, they had to fight back from 1-0 down after Angelo Ogbonna had put the Hammers ahead, Nicolas Otamendi and David Silva scored for Man City in that match. Manchester City have won the last five direct matches in all competitions, the last time the Hammers defeated them was in 2015.
West Ham United are still struggling to find some sort of consistency under manager Manuel Pellegrini, on paper they have a great boss and a solid squad but the results have not been that impressive so far. They are down in 13th place in the Premier League table at the moment after having won just three of the twelve matches so far and having lost six. Before the international break they secured a 1-1 draw at Huddersfield, while a week before that they defeated Burnley 4-2 in London. The Hammers have been unable to get any clean sheets in the last six Premier League matches, I'd worry about that ahead of a match against an attacking machine like Man City. Robert Snodgrass is suspended for this match, while Winston Reid, Manuel Lanzini, Carlos Sanchez, Andriy Yarmolenko and Ryan Fredericks are all injured.
Manchester City are looking capable of defending their Premier League title this season, they are at the top of the Premier League table after twelve matches and are still unbeaten since the start of the campaign. They have won all but two of their league matches so far, scored 36 goals and conceded just five. They have won their last seven matches in all competitions and kept a clean sheet in five of them. Before the international break they secured a 3-1 victory over the Red Devils in the Manchester Derby, with goals from David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Ilkay Gundogan. Nicolas Otamendi and Bernardo Silva are injury doubts ahead of Saturday's match, while Claudio Bravo, Eliaquim Mangala, Kevin De Bruyne and Benjamin Mendy are sidelined.
West Ham: Fabianski - Zabaleta, Balbuena, Diop, Cresswell - Diangana, Obiang, Rice, Noble, Anderson - Arnautovic
Man City: Ederson - Walker, Laporte, Kompany, Delph - Gundogan, Fernandinho, D. Silva - Mahrez, Aguero, Sterling
My prediction: Manchester City to win 3-0, the Hammers won't be able to cope with the visitors' attacking prowess.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
West Ham win - 13.00
Draw - 6.00
Man City win - 1.22

City continue to dominate the league even though just two points clear of Liverpool right now and obviously the pleasant and eye catching football West Ham trying to play under Pelegrini couldn't been of any obstacle to the Manchester side in that game...quite the opposite, it probably helped City showing their style and dominate the game.
For me the only question is whether Liverpool would be able to follow the City's pace and stay relatively close in the table..if they do that the tense over the City's management and players would be increased.
