Manchester United are looking to make a return to winning ways when they host struggling Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday. Last season the Red Devils won this fixture comfortably, it ended 4-0 with goals from Juan Mata, Romelu Lukaku and two from Marouane Fellaini. Manchester United also won the reverse fixture 3-2, extending their winning streak against the Eagles in the Premier League to five matches. Man United have won nine of the last ten Premier League matches against Crystal Palace, and have not lost a league game against the Eagles since 1991.
Manchester United are still struggling in the middle of the Premier League table, they are currently in eighth place after having lost four of their twelve league matches so far this season. The Red Devils also have a negative goal difference at the moment, they have conceded 21 goals in the Premier League so far and scored 20. They had a three-game winning streak in all competitions going before the international break, but that came to an abrupt end as they were defeated 3-1 by rivals Manchester City in the Manchester Derby. Luke Shaw is suspended for this match while Marcus Rashford is an injury doubt after having picked up a knock while on international duty with England. Romelu Lukaku has not played for Belgium during this break due to an injury and is a major doubt for Saturday's match.
Crystal Palace are going through a very dark period, they have lost six of their last seven matches in all competitions and have not tasted victory since September. It is true that they had a terrible calendar in the Premier League over the past few weeks, they had Arsenal at home, then Chelsea away and Tottenham at home. They did snatch a 2-2 draw against the Gunners, but then lost 3-1 at Chelsea and 1-0 against Tottenham. The Eagles are currently 13th in the Premier League table after having won just two matches since the start of the season. Strikers Christian Benteke and Connor Wickham are still injured, but Wilfried Zaha has a chance of recovering in time for this game after having missed the match against Tottenham before the international break.
Man United: De Gea - Valencia, Smalling, Lindelof, Young - Herrera, Matic, Pogba - Lingard, Sanchez, Martial
Crystal Palace: Hennessey - Wan-Bissaka, Tomkins, Kelly, Van Aanholt - McArthur, Kouyate, Milivojevic, Meyer - Zaha, Townsend
My prediction: Manchester United to win 3-1, the Eagles shouldn't be able to cause the Red Devils too many problems in this match.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

I'm still waiting for the day Mourinho would be dismissed from his duties in United...whether that would solve the problems...I don't know...but for me it's obvious the team doesn't improve..just the other way round..decline in the performances in his third season at the club.
Every next season is in fact worst in that regard and I wasn't happy by the style even in the Mourinhos first when they in fact have won a couple of trophies...quite lucky if you ask me.
