Premier League: Dele Alli signs new Tottenham deal
Tottenham rising star Dele Alli has tied his future to the club by signing a new six-year contract. The England international has signed the new deal after star striker Harry Kane and manager Mauricio Pochettino had also extended their contracts in recent months. The new deal will keep Dele Alli at the club until 2024. He had joined the Spurs from MK Dons in 2015 and has become one of the best young players in England under the guidance of manager Pochettino. He is just 22 years old but has already played 153 competitive matches for Tottenham, scored 48 goals and produced 41 assists. Harry Kane also has a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2024, while manager Mauricio Pochettino has signed a five-year extension until the summer of 2023. The Spurs seem to be looking at the future with confidence as they will move to their new stadium in 2019. Dele Alli posted a picture of him signing the contract on Instagram and added: "Delighted to have signed a new contract until 2024. Would like to say a big thank you to everyone at the club - chairman, manager, all my team-mates and the fans for their constant support. I've loved my time at Spurs so far and I'm very excited to see what the future holds!" The 22-year-old midfielder has won the PFA Young Player of the Year award in each of his first two seasons at the club and also made the PFA Premier League Team of the Year both in 2016 and 2017. He earned his first England cap in 2015 and went on to collect 31 caps up to this point, representing his country both at Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup. Alli made his return from injury in Monday's match against defending champions Manchester City, but was unable to help his side avoid a 1-0 defeat. The next Premier League match for Tottenham is at Wolverhampton on Saturday, the Spurs are currently fifth in the league table. Tottenham are 50/1 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title this season.
