LaLiga: Barcelona vs Sevilla preview

Surprising LaLiga leaders Sevilla will have their strength seriously tested on Saturday as they visit multiple champions Barcelona at Camp Nou. The two teams have already met this season in the Spanish Super Cup, which Barcelona won after defeating Sevilla 2-1 with goals from Gerard Pique and Ousmane Dembele. Last season the Blaugrana demolished Sevilla 5-0 in the Copa del Rey final, after having recorded a 2-2 draw in Seville in LaLiga. Barcelona have won the last seven home matches against Sevilla in all competitions, the last time Sevilla won at Camp Nou was in a Spanish Cup match in 2010.

Barcelona are looking to get back to winning ways after going four league matches without a win, just before the international break they got held to a 1-1 draw at Valencia. Lionel Messi scored for Barcelona in that match and the Argentinian superstar also scored twice a few days earlier in the 4-2 victory over Tottenham in the Champions League. However, the Blaugrana have won just half of their eight LaLiga matches so far this season, and that is a very poor record compared to the past few years. Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen are the only injury concerns for the home side.

Sevilla had a very good season so far and they find themselves at the top of the table thanks to the unconvincing records of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. Sevilla have won their last four LaLiga matches, including a memorable 3-0 victory over Real Madrid, and have scored an impressive fourteen goals in the process. However, in between those victories they did lose 2-1 at Krasnodar in the Europa League. Sergio Escudero and Gabriel Mercado have recovered from arm injuries and are both ready to play in Saturday's match, but Maxime Gonalons and Ibrahim Amadou are sidelined.

Probable line-ups:

Barcelona: Ter Stegen - Roberto, Pique, Lenglet, Alba - Rakitic, Busquets, Arthur - Messi, Suarez, Coutinho

Sevilla: Vaclik - Carrico, Kjaer, Gomez - Navas, Banega, Vazquez, Arana - Sarabia - Yedder, A. Silva

My prediction: 1-1 draw, Sevilla are very strong and they should be able to get a result here.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Barcelona win - 1.30
Draw - 6.50
Sevilla win - 7.50
