Premier League: Chelsea vs Manchester United preview

The Premier League restarts after the international break with a major clash at Stamford Bridge on Saturday at noon, when Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea host Jose Mourinho's Manchester United. Last season Chelsea defeated Manchester United 1-0 at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League, while the Red Devils won the reverse fixture 2-1. The two teams have also met in the FA Cup final last season and Eden Hazard decided that match with a first-half goal. Overall, Chelsea have won four of the last six direct matches in all competitions, and Manchester United have not won at Stamford Bridge since 2012.

Chelsea are still undefeated in the Premier League this season, they have won six of their eight matches so far and three of the four they have played at home. The only two teams that managed to escape the battles against Chelsea undefeated were West Ham and Liverpool, and just before the international break the Blues secured a comfortable 3-0 victory at Southampton. Chelsea have conceded just two goals in their last five Premier League matches, kept three clean sheets and scored an impressive ten goals. The only injury concern for manager Maurizio Sarri is defender Antonio Rudiger, he was pulled out of the Germany national team during the international break and might not return to full fitness in time for Saturday's match.

Manchester United are still looking to get out of a crisis, even though they did return to winning ways just before the international break. The 3-2 victory over Newcastle United ended a run of four matches without a victory in all competitions for the Red Devils, but Jose Mourinho's men still have a terrible Premier League record so far this season, with just four wins out of eight matches. Moreover, they have won just two of their four away matches and conceded seven goals. Midfielders Scott McTominay, Marouane Fellaini, Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic are all injury doubts for manager Jose Mourinho, while Marcos Rojo and Jesse Lingard are also expected to miss out.

Probable line-ups:

Chelsea: Arrizabalaga - Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso - Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic - Willian, Giroud, Hazard

Man United: De Gea - Valencia, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw - Fred, Fellaini, Pogba - Rashford, Lukaku, Martial

My prediction: Chelsea to win 2-0, the Blues seem much stronger than the Red Devils at the moment and the atmosphere in their dressing room seems much better as well.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Chelsea win - 1.72
Draw - 3.60
Man United win - 4.75
