Premier League: Crystal Palace vs Liverpool
Title contenders Liverpool face a tough test in their second Premier League match of the season as they travel to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace on Monday evening. Last season Liverpool defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 at home and 2-1 away, with Sadio Mane scoring in each of those two matches. Liverpool have won four of the last six direct matches against Crystal Palace and the Eagles won the remaining two. Crystal Palace have not beaten Liverpool at Selhurst Park since 2014. Crystal Palace had a good start to the Premier League season, they won 2-0 at Fulham on the first weekend of the campaign with goals from Jeffrey Schlupp and Wilfried Zaha. Manager Roy Hodgson has decided to bring in just four players this summer, reinforcing an already solid squad, while star player Wilfried Zaha was tied to a long-term contract last week. New signing Max Meyer is not ready to be in the first eleven yet but he might make the bench, Scott Dann is injured but Connor Wickham and Jonathan Williams might recover in time. Liverpool have impressed everybody with their opening match of the season, they defeated West Ham 4-0 and established themselves as early contenders for the title. Sadio Mane scored twice against West Ham, Mohamed Salah scored the opening goal and Daniel Sturridge also got his name on the score sheet. Manager Jurgen Klopp will most likely avoid making significant changes to his starting eleven, but we should see Jordan Henderson in action from the start here. Joel Matip remains an injury doubt, while Dejan Lovren is not yet fully fit after the World Cup break. Probable line-ups: Crystal Palace: Hennessey - Wan-Bissaka, Tomkins, Sakho, Van Aanholt - Townsend, Milivojevic, Kouyate, Schlupp - Zaha, Benteke Liverpool: Alisson - Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson - Milner, Henderson, Keita - Mane, Firmino, Salah My prediction: Liverpool to win 2-1, it won't be easy for the Reds but they should pull it off. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Crystal Palace win - 7.50 Draw - 5.00 Liverpool win - 1.44
