Premier League: Brighton vs Manchester United preview
Troubled Manchester United are looking to get past a tumultuous summer and get a good string of Premier League results going, their next test is at Amex Stadium in Brighton on Sunday. Last season Brighton managed to pull off a 1-0 home victory over the Red Devils in May, following away defeats in the reverse league fixture and in the FA Cup. Overall, Manchester United have won four of the last six direct meetings, but the Red Devils only one two of the last six matches at Brighton. Brighton started their season with a 2-0 defeat at Watford last weekend, a disappointing result after an underwhelming performance as the Seagulls were unable to send a single shot on target during the whole match. Right-back Bruno picked up a hamstring injury during that match and he might be replaced by deadline-day signing Martin Montoya on Sunday. Club-record signing Alireza Jahanbakhsh made his debut from the bench last weekend and is expected to make the starting eleven on Sunday. Jose Izquierdo, James Tilley and Florin Andone are injury doubts for the home side. Manchester United started their season with a 2-1 home victory over Leicester City last weekend, Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw scored for Jose Mourinho's side. The Portuguese manager still has to make the most out of a squad that is plagued by injuries, no less than six first-team players are out of contention: Nemanja Matic, Antonio Valencia, Diogo Dalot, Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera and Sergio Romero. Ashley Young, Phil Jones and Jese Lingard were not used last weekend after their extended World Cup break, but all three should be called upon for Sunday's match. Probable line-ups: Brighton: Ryan - Montoya, Duffy, Dunk, Bernardo - Jahanbakhsh, Stephens, Bissouma, March - Gross - Murray Man United: De Gea - Young, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw - Fred, Pereira, Pogba - Mata, Lukaku, Sanchez My prediction: 1-1 draw, Manchester United are going through some problems and Brighton should take advantage of that. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Brighton win - 5.75 Draw - 3.60 Man United win - 1.75
