Premier League: Liverpool looking to sell players this summer
After having spent around 175 million pounds on new players during the summer transfer window, Liverpool are now looking to offload a few names off their payroll. The most likely exit is that of Belgium goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, the former Sunderland goalie will have very few chances to play for the first team after the Reds spent 67 million pounds to bring AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson to Anfield Road. Mignolet was second choice to Loris Karius in the second part of last season and at the age of 30 he would want to play more than a few games a season. Newly-promoted Premier League side Fulham are rumoured to be interested in signing Mignolet, along with big foreign clubs like Napoli and Barcelona that would want him as a backup goalie. Striker Divock Origi is also surplus to requirements at Anfield Road, the 23-year-old has not developed as well as the club would have wanted and he will most likely be allowed to leave if the right offer comes along. Last season Origi was sent on loan to Bundesliga club Wolfsburg but only managed to score six goals in 34 appearances. Liverpool want around 25 million pounds for the young striker and the most interested club seem to be Spanish outfit Valencia, who are looking to add a striker to their ranks. Danny Ings also seems on his way out from Anfield Road as he was left out of Jurgen Klopp's squad for the pre-season tour of the United States of America. The 26-year-old striker is attracting interest from Premier League sides like Southampton, Crystal Palace, Leicester and Newcastle, but Liverpool would most likely require around 20 million pounds. Lazar Markovic is also quite likely to leave the club this summer after his disappointing loan spell at Anderlecht in the second part of last season. Liverpool will most likely be willing to let Markovic go for around 5 million pounds. This summer Liverpool have signed Naby Keita from Leipzig for £52.75m, Fabinho from Monaco for £43.7m, Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke for £13.5m and Alisson Becker from Roma for £67m. Liverpool are 4/1 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title next season.
