Premier League: Chelsea vs Huddersfield preview
Last season's champions Chelsea have a good chance of rescuing their current campaign with a top-four finish, but for that they would need to beat Huddersfield at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday. The reverse fixture saw the Blues win 3-1 with goals from Tiemoue Bakayoko, Willian and Pedro, and that was the third consecutive victory for Chelsea against Huddersfield in all competitions. However, Huddersfield do have a somewhat recent victory at Stamford Bridge, it happened in 1999 in the League Cup. Chelsea have been in solid form lately, they have won their last five matches in all competitions and have not conceded any goals in their last three league games. Last weekend they secured a precious 1-0 victory over Liverpool, so if they beat Huddersfield on Wednesday they would be tied on 72 points with the Reds ahead of the last Premier League weekend of the season. Alvaro Morata missed the match against Liverpool through injury and is a doubt for Wednesday's game, but Olivier Giroud scored at the weekend and is more than ready to lead the line once again. Huddersfield are very close to reaching their target for the season, surviving in the Premier League, even though they won just one of their last eight league matches. A draw on Wednesday would most likely secure their Premier League status for another season and they should be encouraged by their latest away result, 0-0 at champions Manchester City last weekend. Danny Williams and Elias Kachunga remain injured for the away side, while Tom Ince and Michael Hefele are doubts. Probable line-ups: Chelsea: Courtois - Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Cahill - Moses, Kante, Fabregas, Alonso - Willian, Hazard - Giroud Huddersfield: Lossl - Zanka, Schindler, Kongolo - Smith, Hadergjonaj, Hogg, Mooy, Malone - Mounie, Pritchard My prediction: Chelsea to win 3-0. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Chelsea win - 1.18 Draw - 8.00 Huddersfield - 19.00
