Serie A: Juventus vs Napoli preview

Defending champions Juventus can seal another Serie A title if they defeat rivals Napoli at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday, but if Napoli win then the title race will become wide open again with just four matches left in the season. Juventus have won the reverse fixture 1-0 in December, Gonzalo Higuain scored he only goal of the match. The last time Napoli won at Juventus was in 2012, but that was an Italian Cup game, their last Serie A victory at the Bianconeri was all the way back in 2009.

Juventus seemed to be sailing towards another Serie A title, but this week they surprisingly got held to a 1-1 draw at Crotone and that allowed Napoli to reduce their deficit in the league table to just four points. Now Juventus can't afford any more distractions, but Sunday's match in Turin could become very complicated for the home side if they give Napoli room to hope. Mattia De Sciglio remains the only injury concern for head coach Massimiliano Allegri, who has to choose between in-form Douglas Costa and Paulo Dybala alongside Higuain and Mario Mandzukic in attack.

Napoli struggled to overcome Udinese this week, the match ended 4-2 but Napoli had to fight back from 1-0 and 2-1 down. The effort was worth it, though, because it allowed them to move just four points behind leaders Juventus and have their title hopes revived. However, Napoli have not managed to win any of their last three away matches. Kalidou Koulibaly was suspended for the midweek match but he should return to the starting eleven at the weekend, while left-back Faouzi Ghoulam is the only injury concern for head coach Maurizio Sarri.

Probable line-ups:

Juventus: Buffon - Lichtsteiner, Benatia, Chiellini, Sandro - Khedira, Pjanic, Matuidi - Costa, Higuain, Mandzukic

Napoli: Reina - Hysaj, Albiol, Koulibaly, Rui - Allan, Jorginho, Hamsik - Callejon, Mertens, Insigne

My prediction: 1-1 draw.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Juventus win - 2.10
Draw - 3.25
Napoli win - 3.75

It's a great result for the neutrals because we again have a title race in Italy.
Juventus played too defensively and even though 0-0 would of be a perfect result for them, that's always a dangerous tactic and despite Napoli didn't have that many clear opportunities they were still able to get one late.
I think that is a was a logical scoreline in the end.
