Jose Mourinho in danger of losing the dressing room, says Martin Keown

Former England and Arsenal defender Martin Keown believes Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is in danger of losing the dressing room after he publicly criticized one of his players following last weekend's FA Cup victory over Brighton. The player in question is left-back Luke Shaw, who was substituted at half-time during the Brighton match and then publicly criticized by the boss after the game. Moreover, Mourinho was seen shouting at Shaw multiple times during the first half of that match.

"Mourinho has lost dressing rooms at Chelsea and Real Madrid. He knows he is walking a tightrope but he is doing whatever it takes to get a performance,' Martin Keown says in his Daily Mail column. "Trying to get a reaction is one thing. Humiliating his players is another. I do not like the way Luke Shaw has been treated. Mourinho should consider his players as sons. How would he react if his own child was being treated this badly?" Luke Shaw is under contract with the Red Devils until 2019 but will most likely leave the club next summer.

"Because Mourinho did not play at the highest level, he will simply not understand the effect that being hooked at half-time has on a player," Martin Keown added. "Other players at Old Trafford may look at Shaw and think: 'That could be me next.' By behaving this way, Mourinho risks driving a wedge between the squad and the staff." Martin Keown has played over 400 competitive matches for Arsenal and also earned 43 caps for England during his career. Manchester United are currently second in the Premier League table and have qualified for the FA Cup semi-finals.

Luke Shaw is 2/5 at SkyBet to leave Manchester United this summer.

    Keown is a wise man.
I most definitely agree with all he'd said there.

If you ask me Mourinho should be the one leaving United not Shaw but of course the board and owners would realize it too late, once again.

Many United players under-perform not just Shaw but Mourinho deliberately criticising the youngster who's just too modest and correct to respond, not imagine Mourinho speaking that way of Pogba for example, that would of cost him the job, surely.
