Premier League: Bournemouth vs Tottenham preview

Fourth-placed Tottenham are looking to secure their fourth consecutive Premier League victory when they travel to meet Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday. The Spurs won the reverse fixture 1-0 in October thanks to a second-half goal from Christian Eriksen. Tottenham have won four of the last five direct meetings, the only time Bournemouth managed to avoid defeat was last season when they secured a goalless draw at home. The only time the Cherries won against Tottenham was all the way back in 1957 when they triumphed in an FA Cup match.

Bournemouth had a solid season so far, not exceptional but good enough to keep them afloat. However, they are just six point above the relegation zone and things might get complicated for them in the last weeks of the season if they don't add a few more points to their tally soon. Last week the Cherries secured a good 1-1 draw at Leicester City and they have lost just one of their last six league matches. Tyrone Mings is still out with a back injury, while Marc Pugh and Jordon Ibe are injury doubts ahead of Sunday's game.

Tottenham suffered a big heartbreak this week as they got knocked out of the Champions League by Italian champions Juventus. The Spurs did well to grab a 2-2 draw in Turin, then everything seemed to be heading their way after Son Heung-Min put them a goal ahead in the second leg but everything crumbled in the second half. That said, Tottenham can now focus on the top-four race in the Premier League and also on their FA Cup campaign. Toby Alderweireld remains injured and won't make the trip to Bournemouth.

Probable line-ups:

Bournemouth: Begovic - Francis, S. Cook, Ake, Daniels - Smith, L. Cook, Gosling, Stanislas - King - Wilson

Tottenham: Lloris - Aurier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Rose - Dier, Wanyama - Eriksen, Alli, Lamela - Kane

My prediction: Tottenham to win 2-1.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Bournemouth win - 6.50
Draw - 4.50
Tottenham win - 1.55

This was the game when Kane got injured but Spurs have done really well without him to clinch the game after going 1-0 down.
Of course Harry is their main player but that doesn't mean they are toothless without him and they just shown that in the game.
But surely they will want him back as soon as possible of course.
