Premier League: Manchester United vs Liverpool preview
Manchester United will play one of their last chances to get back into the fight for a top-four finish when they face Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday. On the other hand the Reds are second in the Premier League table, tied on points with Arsenal, so they will try hard not to slip up as they could lose that position to the Gunners. Tradition is against the visitors though as United have won each of their last six matches at Old Trafford against Liverpool and the two sides haven't drawn a match in Manchester since 2000. The Red Devils secured a comfortable win last time out, 3-0 at West Bromwich, with Phil Jones, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck getting on the score sheet. Liverpool also recorded a 3-0 win last time they played in the Premier League, at Southampton. Luis Suarez opened the scoring, then Raheem Sterling doubled the lead before captain Steven Gerrard converted a penalty kick late on. Rafael could be fit for Manchester United after he was subbed off in the win over West Brom with an ankle injury while Vidic and Ferdinand will also hope to make the starting eleven. Liverpool should welcome Lucas and Sakho back to full fitness but they will most likely be on the bench. An interesting statistic shows that Liverpool have scored 27 more goals in the first half of league matches this season than Manchester United. My prediction is that the Reds will win 2-1. Here are the odds for Sunday's match at Bet365: Manchester United win - 6/4 Draw - 13/5 Liverpool win - 19/10
