Italian Cup: Lazio vs AC Milan preview
Lazio and AC Milan compete for a place in the Italian Cup final as they clash at the Olympic Stadium in Rome on Wednesday in the second leg of their semi-finals tie. The first leg at Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan ended goalless, so Lazio have a slight advantage ahead of the second leg but anything could happen. The two teams have already played their direct Serie A matches for the season: Lazio won 4-1 at home in September with a hat-trick from striker Ciro Immobile but lost 2-1 in Milan in January. Lazio snapped out of a three-match losing streak with a three-match winning streak in all competitions. Moreover, they have conceded just one goal in those three victories, an encouraging fact for their head coach ahead of the difficult clash against AC Milan. Last week Lazio won 3-0 at Sassuolo to keep their third place in Serie A, while a few days earlier they hammered FCSB 5-1 to pull through to the next round of the Europa League. Davide Di Gennaro remains the only injury concern for head coach Simone Inzaghi. AC Milan are enjoying the best form of their season so far, they have not lost any of their last twelve matches in all competitions and have won their last five games. Last weekend they secured a great 2-0 victory at AS Roma, a result which gives them hope of challenging for a top-four spot after all. They have also pulled through to the next round in the Europa League after a comfortable 4-0 aggregate win over Ludogorets. Marco Storari and Luca Antonelli are injured, while Andrea Conti is back in training but this match might come too soon for him. Probable line-ups: Lazio: Strakosha - Bastos, De Vrij, Radu - Marusic, Parolo, Leiva, Alberto, Lulic - Milinkovic-Savic - Immobile AC Milan: Donnarumma - Calabria, Bonucci, Romagnoli, Rodriguez - Kessie, Biglia, Bonaventura - Suso, Cutrone, Calhanoglu My prediction: 2-2 draw. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Lazio win - 1.83 Draw - 3.60 AC Milan win - 4.20
