Serie A: Torino vs Juventus preview
The 143rd Serie A edition of the Turin Derby will take place on Sunday afternoon when Torino face reigning champions Juventus at the Olympic Stadium in Turin. Juventus have the upper hand overall with 66 wins compared to Torino's 35 and they have dominated the recent history of the derby as well. Last season Juventus won three out of three matches against Torino, two in the league and one in the Italian Cup, with ten goals scored overall and just two conceded. Torino are hoping to qualify for a European competition at the end of this season, and so far they are pretty much on track. It's true that they are seventh in the league table at the moment, but fifth place is just three points away. Needless to say, a victory in the city derby would give them a huge confidence boost. Last weekend they lost 2-0 at Sampdoria, a result which ended a good three-game winning streak for Torino. Head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic will have to do without Cristian Molinaro and Joel Obi, both injured. Juventus are still dominating the Italian Serie A, but not as much as they used to do in the past few seasons. They have already lost three games and lead the league table with just four points over Roma and AC Milan. They are the only team in the league without a draw so far, that's 15 matches without a draw. Last weekend they secured a solid 3-1 victory over high-flying Atalanta, recovering from the surprise defeat at Genoa two weeks ago. Head coach Massimiliano Allegri still has some injury concerns, as Marko Pjaca, Andrea Barzagli, Daniel Alves and Leonardo Bonucci are unavailable. Probable line-ups: Torino: Hart - Zappacosta, Rossettini, Castan, Barreca - Benassi, Valdifiori, Baselli - Ljajic, Belotti, Falque Juventus: Buffon - Rugani, Benatia, Chiellini - Lichtsteiner, Khedira, Marchisio, Pjanic, Sandro - Mandzukic, Higuain My prediction: 1-1 draw. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Torino win - 4.33 Draw - 3.60 Juventus win - 1.85
