Premier League: Arsenal vs Crystal Palace preview

Arsenal are looking to stop a run of five games without a win when they meet Crystal Palace in a London Derby at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. In fact, Crystal Palace are the last team that Arsenal did manage to beat, the Gunners won 3-2 at Selhurst Park on December 28 thanks to a double from Alexis Sanchez. Last season Crystal Palace defeated Arsenal 3-0 at Selhurst Park after having lost 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium, and overall the Gunners have won four of the last six direct matches.

Arsenal have not won any of their last five matches and lost two of them, including last weekend's 2-1 defeat at Bournemouth. However, during that five-match spell Arsenal have met Chelsea on two occasions and managed to hold the Blues to draws both times. Now the Gunners seem more preoccupied with the transfer dealings, as Francis Coquelin and Theo Walcott have already left the club and Alexis Sanchez seems headed towards a move to Manchester United. Santi Cazorla and Olivier Giroud remain injured, but Aaron Ramsey can make his return into the starting eleven.

Crystal Palace have won their last two Premier League matches and have moved up in 12th position, five points clear of the relegation zone. Last week they secured a 1-0 victory over Burnely after having won 2-1 at Southampton earlier in January, but they did lose 2-1 to Brighton in the FA Cup between those two victories. Manager Roy Hodgson still has a long list of injured players, but Yohan Cabaye is now ready to make his return. Connor Wickham, Mamadou Sakho, Scott Dann, Jason Puncheon, Jeffrey Schlupp, Andros Townsend and Ruben Loftus-Cheek remain injured.

Probable line-ups:

Arsenal: Cech - Koscielny, Mustafi, Monreal - Bellerin, Wilshere, Xhaka, Kolasinac - Iwobi, Ozil - Lacazette

Crystal Palace: Speroni - Ward, Kelly, Tomkins, Van Aanholt - Zaha, Milivojevic, Cabaye, McArthur - Sako, Benteke

My prediction: 1-1 draw.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Arsenal win - 1.50
Draw - 4.75
Crystal Palace win - 7.00

After all the troubles Arsenal have had prior to this one it wasn't in the expectations at all that they would of had so smooth game and an easy win against Palace, moreover the form their London rivals have shown lately.
This result could really be a massive for the cub and players confidence that they are able to pursuit top 4 which have been started to look like a mirage at one point.
Palace are not save yet at all, for now.
