Premier League: Huddersfield vs Chelsea preview
Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea are looking to bounce back from last weekend's surprising defeat when they visit Huddersfield at the Kirklees Stadium on Tuesday. The two teams have not met since 2008, when Chelsea defeated Huddersfield 3-1 in the FA Cup. Huddersfield last defeated Chelsea in 1999, when they produced a big upset by winning 1-0 at Stamford Bridge. The two teams have not played in the same league since the 1983-1984 season, when Chelsea defeated Huddersfield in both matches. Huddersfield ended their four-game losing streak with a 2-0 victory over fellow newly-promoted side Brighton last week, a much-needed victory as they were sliding dangerously towards the relegation zone. They are currently 12th in the Premier League table, five points above the drop zone, so another bad patch could see them drop down the table quite easily. Jon Gorenc Stankovic, Michael Hefele and Philip Billing are injured for the home side, while Kasey Palmer is ineligible to play against his parent club. Chelsea have suffered just two Premier League defeats in the past three months and both of them were very surprising: 2-1 at Crystal Palace in October and 1-0 last week against West Ham at the Olympic Stadium in London. The Blues remain third in the Premier League table, but leaders Manchester City are now 14 points ahead so any title hopes for Antonio Conte and his men seem unrealistic at the moment. David Luiz is still injured, but Danny Drinkwater could make his return in the starting eleven. Probable line-ups: Huddersfield: Lossl - Smith, Zanka, Schindler, Malone - Hogg, Mooy - Kachunga, Ince, Parra - Mounie Chelsea: Courtois - Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger - Moses, Kante, Drinkwater, Alonso - Pedro, Hazard - Morata My prediction: 1-1 draw. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Huddersfield win - 10.50 Draw - 5.00 Chelsea win - 1.36
