Premier League: Sergio Aguero could be out for six weeks
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero will be out of action for around six weeks, at least that is what one of the Argentina national team doctors believes. The Argentinian striker picked up the injury last week but not on the training ground or during a match. He was in a taxi in Amsterdam, headed towards the airport, after having attended a concert of Colombian singer Maluma. The taxi went off the road and crashed into a pillar and Sergio Aguero confirmed that he sustained a broken rib. Manchester City did well without him last weekend as they beat title holders Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, with Brazilian Gabriel Jesus replacing Aguero in the role of central striker. Manchester City said that Aguero would be out between two and four weeks, but Argentina team doctor Donato Villani says it could take longer than that. If his assessment proves correct, Aguero would miss the double encounter with Napoli in the Champions League and the home match against Arsenal in the Premier League on November 5. Villani said: "He is feeling very bad emotionally because he really wanted to come and play for the national side, but this incident has ruled him out of both games. He is going to be out for a month-and-a-half - minimum. He is unable to leave his house, or get in or out of the car. He was feeling very bad because he wanted to be here." Manchester City have declined to comment on doctor Villani's statement. Aguero has scored seven goals in eight matches this season and is just one goal away from equalling the club goal-scoring record of 177, a record that stands since 1939. Manchester City are 4/6 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title this season.
