Premier League: Huddersfield vs Tottenham preview
Newly-promoted Huddersfield have a tough test on Saturday as they face Tottenham at Kirklees Stadium. The two teams have not met since 1972 as they have rarely played in the same league, that last meeting was in the League Cup and Tottenham won it 2-1. However, the overall record shows an advantage for Huddersfield in the direct meetings, the have won 16 times while Tottenham only managed to beat them 11 times. But that was in a different century, now Tottenham seem capable of mounting a serious Premier League title challenge. Huddersfield have started the season pretty well, they have lost just one of their six Premier League matches so far and also managed to grab a couple of wins. However, they got knocked out of the League Cup after a 1-0 defeat against Crystal Palace and it's also worth mentioning that they have not met any of the big teams in the Premier League yet. Jon Stankovic, Kasey Palmer, Danny Williams and Collin Quaner are all injured and won't be part of the squad on Saturday, while Steve Mounie might recover from a calf issue. Tottenham had a few setbacks this season like the 2-1 defeat against Chelsea and the draws with Burnley and Swansea, but all those disappointing results were in home matches. In fact, Tottenham have won all four matches away from home in all competitions, this week they secured a 3-0 Champions League victory at APOEL and last weekend they won 3-2 at West Ham. Serge Aurier is suspended for this game, while Erik Lamela, Danny Rose and Victor Wanyama are still injured. Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembele did not play in the Champions League match due to injuries but they might recover in time for the Premier League weekend. Probable line-ups: Huddersfield: Lossl - Smith, Schindler, Zanka, Lowe - Billing, Mooy - Kachunga, Sabiri, Ince - Depoitre Tottenham: Lloris - Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen - Trippier, Dier, Sissoko, Davies - Eriksen, Alli - Kane My prediction: Tottenham to win 4-1. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Huddersfield win - 8.50 Draw - 4.75 Tottenham win - 1.36
