UEFA Champions League: Paris Saint-Germain vs Bayern Munich preview
Two of Europe's biggest clubs clash in the UEFA Champions League group stage on Wednesday as French giants Paris Saint-Germain take on Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich at Parc des Princes. The two teams have not met since 2000, back then the double clash in the Champions League group stage produced a 1-0 home win for PSG and a 2-0 victory in Bavaria for Bayern. Overall, PSG have won four of the previous six matches against Bayern Munich, who never managed to beat them in France. Paris Saint-Germain started the Champions League group stage with a convincing 5-0 victory at Celtic, with new signings Neymar and Kylian Mbappe both on the score sheet. Until last weekend they had a one hundred percent record in Ligue 1 as well, six consecutive wins, but they stumbled to a goalless draw at Montpellier. Neymar missed that match due to a foot problem but he should be ready to play on Wednesday. Javier Pastore is out of contention, while Angel Di Maria is a doubt. Bayern Munich also started their Champions League campaign with a comfortable win, 3-0 at home over Anderlecht. However, they are not at the top of the Bundesliga table and that is something they are not used to. They have already lost a match and drew another while winning four out of six league matches. Last weekend they were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Wolfsburg. Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is injured, along with Juan Bernat, while Thiago Alcantara and David Alaba could recover in time for Wednesday's game. Probable line-ups: PSG: Trapp - Alves, Marquinhos, Silva, Yuri - Rabiot, Verratti, Motta - Mbappe, Cavani, Neymar Bayern: Ulreich - Kimmich, Boateng, Hummels, Rafinha - Vidal, Tolisso - Robben, Muller, Ribery - Lewandowski My prediction: PSG to win 3-2. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: PSG win - 2.00 Draw - 3.90 Bayern win - 3.70
