The 2017-2018 Premier League season kicks off on Friday evening when Arsenal host Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium. Last season Arsenal won this fixture 1-0 but they needed a late own-goal from Robert Huth to get all three points, while the reverse match ended 0-0. Arsenal have won their last 7 home matches against Leicester in all competitions, while the Foxes have a poor away record lately as they have won just two of their last 21 Premier League games away from home.
Arsenal start yet another season with Arsene Wenger as manager, despite loud protest from some supporters at the end of the previous campaign. They have signed just two new players this summer, left-back Sead Kolasinac and striker Alexandre Lacazette, but they managed to hold on to Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez for now. Laurent Koscielny is suspended for this match, Santi Cazorla and Alexis Sanchez are injured, while Per Mertesacker, Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Francis Coquelin and Gabriel Paulista will also miss out due to slight injuries.
Leicester City had a pretty good summer so far, they haven't sold any of their important players and they managed to sign five quality players: Harry Maguire from Hull City, Sam Hughes from Chester, Vicente Iborra from Sevilla, Eldin Jakupovic from Hull City and striker Kelechi Iheanacho from Manchester City for 25 million pounds. Iborra won't be able to make his debut on Friday due to an injury, while Robert Huth and Danny Drinkwater could also miss out as they need to build up their fitness.
Arsenal: Cech - Mustafi, Mertesacker, Monreal - Bellerin, Xhaka, Elneny, Kolasinac - Welbeck, Iwobi - Lacazette
Leicester: Schmeichel - Simpson, Maguire, Morgan, Fuchs - Mahrez, Ndidi, Amartey, Gray - Iheanacho, Vardy
My prediction: Arsenal to win 1-0.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

That was quite a game, real entertainer to the start of the season.
I think Arsenal were lucky enough to get all three points in the end of that one but maybe Leicester didn't do enough in the end of the game to prevent the Arsenal comeback after they took the game too deep in their half.
Positive start for Arsenal but the questions will remains whether club could improve from the performance from last year.
