Cycling: Peter Kennaugh moves to Bora-Hansgrohe
Team Sky's Peter Kennaugh will have a fresh challenge next season as he signed a contract with German team Bora-Hansgrohe. The two-time British road race champion leaves Team Sky after seven seasons, in fact they were the only team he rode for as a professional cyclist. Next season he will team up with reigning world champion Peter Sagan at Bora-Hansgrohe and probably be allowed to pursue some of his individual goals. "I wanted a change, some new motivation and a different experience," Kennaugh said. "I don't think I was getting stale but a fresh way of doing things will just keep me fresh. Maybe I was getting too relaxed. It's exciting times. At Sky sometimes it's more of a general classification, conservative style of racing, and I've appreciated that but I'm going to team that has a different style." Another high-profile move in the world of cycling is that of French climber Warren Barguil from Team Sunweb to French outfit Fortuneo-Oscaro. Barguil has just won the best climbers' classification at the 2017 Tour de France and also won two stages. “The project we have together is in the medium term, so we will work step by step and do not change the things that worked well," Barguil said. "In addition, when I joined Fortuneo-Oscaro, I joined a team at Breton DNA. Needless to say, it counts a lot too.” The next big race in cycling is the Tour of Spain and Chris Froome is 8/11 at Bet365 to win it.
