Premier League: Liverpool in talks with Hull City for Andrew Robertson
Liverpool are looking to secure the signing of Hull City left-back Andrew Robertson, and they are currently negotiating a deal with the Tigers. It seems that the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement on a transfer fee worth around 10 million pounds for the Scotland international. Robertson made 39 appearances in all competitions last season but he will probably want to move on as Hull City were relegated from the Premier League and will play in the Championship next season. Andrew Robertson is 23 years old and he could be a solution for Liverpool's left flank as Spaniard Alberto Moreno is the only recognized left-back in the squad at the moment, while Nathaniel Clyne is the obvious first choice at right-back. Robertson started his career at Queen's Park before moving to Dundee United. He joined Hull City in July 2014 and went on to score 5 goals in 115 appearances for the club in all competitions. He scored a goal in 15 appearances for Scotland. Liverpool have signed just two players for far this summer, first they signed youngster Dominic Solanke on a free transfer and then they spent 42 million euros on AS Roma right winger Mohammed Salah. Manager Jurgen Klopp admitted that signing quality players is difficult and he urged fans to be patient. "It is getting more and more difficult, that's how it is, especially in England because clubs not only spend a lot of money but they don't need the money you want to give them so that's a problem," Klopp said. Liverpool are 12/1 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title next season.
