Back International Friendly: Brazil vs Argentina preview

The two greatest South American teams Brazil and Argentina will clash in a friendly at the Beijing National Stadium in China on Saturday. Brazil have not forgotten their terrible exit from the World Cup, they were thrashed 7-1 by Germany in the semi finals. The Brazilians then picked up 1-0 wins over Ecuador and Colombia last month but the match against Argentina is their first big chance to redeem themselves in the eyes of the fans, at least partially.

Argentina on the other hand managed to avenge their World Cup final defeat by recording a spectacular 4-2 win over Germany in a friendly last month. Brazil and Argentina have met more than 15 times since 2000. Argentina have won two of the last three meetings against Brazil.

Kaka is expected to make his first appearance for Brazil since 2013 after he was called up to the squad by new head coach Carlos Dunga. For Argentina, Angel di Maria is expected to play alongside superstar Lionel Messi and Manchester City's Sergio Aguero in attack.

Probable starting line-ups:

Brazil: Cesar - Dodo, Dante, Alves, Luiz - Gustavo, Souza, Hulk, Kaka - Fred, Neymar

Argentina: Romero - Garay, Demichelis, Fernandez - Zabaleta, Pastore, Mascherano, Messi, Di Maria - Higuain, Aguero

My prediction: Argentina to win 3-2.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Brazil win - 15/8 Draw - 23/10 Argentina win - 7/5
