UEFA Champions League: Atletico Madrid vs Leicester City preview
Reigning Premier League champions Leicester City continue to write club history as they travel to Spain to face Atletico Madrid at Vicente Calderon on Wednesday for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals tie. The two teams have never met before, but Leicester have done well against Spanish opposition this season as they knocked out Sevilla with a 3-2 aggregate victory in the previous round. Atletico Madrid are unbeaten in their last eight matches in all competitions, including last week's 1-1 draw at Santiago Bernabeu against city rivals Real Madrid. In the previous round, Atletico secured their qualification in the first leg with a 4-2 victory at Leverkusen, then kept things quiet in a 0-0 second-leg draw. Filipe Luis and Gabi return from suspension, but Tiago, Augusto Fernandez, Miguel Angel Moya and Sime Vrsaljko remain injured. Leicester City seem to be living another fantasy, manager Claudio Ranieri got sacked after losing 2-1 at Sevilla in the first leg of the previous Champions League round, but then qualified for the quarter-finals and grabbed six consecutive wins in all competitions under caretaker boss Craig Shakespeare. Their winning streak ended last weekend with a 4-2 defeat at Everton, but the Foxes seem to be in great shape nonetheless. Defender Wes Morgan is injured and will miss out. Probable line-ups: Atletico: Oblak - Juanfran, Godin, Savic, Luis - Carrasco, Niguez, Gabi, Koke - Griezmann, Torres Leicester: Schmeichel - Simpson, Benalouane, Huth, Fuchs - Mahrez, Ndidi, Drinkwater, Albrighton - Okazaki, Vardy My prediction: Atletico Madrid to win 1-0. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Atletico win - 1.30 Draw - 5.50 Leicester win - 13.00
