Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud defends manager Arsene Wenger and says all the players want the French boss to remain at the club beyond his current contract. Arsene Wenger's deal with the club is going to expire at the end of the current season, and media reports have claimed that the club are trying to persuade Borussia Dortmund head coach Thomas Tuchel to take over at the Emirates Stadium. Following Saturday's 3-1 Premier League defeat at West Bromwich Albion, Arsene Wenger said that an announcement on his future at the club was going to be made "very soon".
Arsenal have denied having approached Thomas Tuchel for the job, and now new rumors are spreading about the club's intention to offer Arsene Wenger a new contract. Arsenal have lost four of their last five Premier League matches and got hammered 10-2 on aggregate by Bayern Munich in the Champions League. This was the seventh consecutive exit for Arsenal in the last-sixteen round of the European competition, a disappointing fact for the fans along with the 13-year drought of Premier League titles.
Giroud said in an interview with French television: "We want to see Arsene Wenger continue, to continue the adventure, because we support him. We hope to win the cup and qualify for the Champions League." Arsene Wenger has won three Premier League titles and six FA Cups during his 20 years in charge at the club, but an increasing number of fans are calling for his resignation after having failed to challenge for the Premier League title in recent years.
Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is 5/2 at SkyBet to become the next Arsenal manager, Thomas Tuchel is 11/2, while Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is 12/1 to replace Arsene Wenger at the Emirates Stadium.

Yes those who takes the risk get's the highest rewards in the end Johnny, I think it would be vital decision for Arsenal that one (look what happened in United after SAF, although it's not exactly the same situation here) but I guess they will choose a "safer"option with Allegri or Tuchel because they've been already managers...

I would prefer Eddie Howe as well, he has proven to be a solid manager, he's young and eager to work hard.

I think players always feeling uncertainty when a manager change is expected and of course they prefer the current manager staying more so a successful one like Wenger over the years. I think the club has to have a vision and know who's their next manager would be if we assume that Arsene Wenger's leaving is for certain....

There's no point of changing your manager if you cant appoint the one that you're sure is right for the job and to be honest I'm not too excited about Arsenal's future when I see the names being mentioned for it. I would really like to see Eddie Howe taking the job, that would be a brave move from the Arsenal board if they do it but could be a great one for the years to come.
