Spanish champions Atletico Madrid will have to overturn a one-goal deficit when they face Bayer Leverkusen at the Vicente Calderon in the last-16 of the Champions League on Tuesday. The German side have clinched a somewhat surprising 1-0 victory in the first leg, thanks to a goal from Hakan Calhanoglu.
Atletico have not been particularly impressive lately, they were held to three consecutive draws in the Primera Liga. Until now Atletico have been able to overturn a 1-0 deficit in the Champions League on two occasions and they have a good record at home: 20 wins out of their last 22 European matches.
Leverkusen will surely be full of confidence after having recorded a 4-0 victory over Stuttgart in the Bundesliga last week. They have won their last four matches, including the first leg triumph over Atletico. Leverkusen could be without midfielder Lars Bender while Atletico will be missing both Diego Godin and Tiago Mendes through suspension.
Probable line-ups:
Atletico Madrid: Moya - Juanfran, Ansaldi, Miranda, Gamez - Gabi, Tiago, Koke, Garcia, Griezmann - Torres
Bayer Leverkusen: Leno - Hilbert, Toprak, Papadopoulos, Wendell - Rolfes, Castro, Bellarabi, Son, Calhanoglu - Drmic
My prediction: Atletico to win 1-0 (after 90 minutes)
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
Atletico win - 8/11 Draw - 14/5 Leverkusen win - 9/2

The Spanish champions Atletico Madrid are still the big favourites to go trough to quarter finals despite the loss in the first game. But they will have to play better and be very careful in defense if they wish to overcome the Germans who are very dangerous team at counterattack, so have to be a very interesting game.

I think that this match is not for too many goals, because I do not expect Leverkuzen to score. Atletico have a very good defense line and this is their the best side. Also, the both teams are very good in a free-kicks and that could be a good for betting. X-1 is a real bet for this match, but I expect result 1:0 or 2:0......

Atletico slipped up during weekend, played 0:0. Mostly because their sweeper Miranda got red card during first half. Tonights game should be with lot of goals. I've personally betted X-1 and that home team is gonna score at least two goals. Hopefuly they dont dissapoint me. My predictions: - Result: 3:1 for Atletico Madrid; - Man of the match: Antoine Griezmann.

I must say that the result in the first match was a bit surprising to me. Leverkusen played a lot better than Atletico Madrid and maybe they deserved to win with bigger goal difference. But tonight I'm not so sure that Atletico's manager Simeone will allow to his team to play like in the first match. I expect a good match...

I expect a good match tonight, especially from Atletico Madrid, and also I think that they will win and qualify to the 1/4 final.

First match was unlucky for Bayer. They had so many chances for more goals, but they did not score. But now, my opinion is that they do not have a chance to go in next phase, because Atletico on Vicente Calderon are unbeatable. I expect hard match, but Atletico will win.
