La Liga: Valencia sign Simone Zaza on loan
Italy international striker Simone Zaza will play for Valencia until the end of the season after Juventus have agreed to loan him out once again. The striker spent the first half of the season on loan at West Ham United in the Premier League but he only made eight league appearances and was unable to score any goals for the Hammers. West Ham paid 5 million euros for the loan and had agreed a future transfer fee of 20 million euros. Valencia are just four points above the relegation zone and they needed some reinforcements as soon as possible. Zaza, aged 25, could remain at Valencia after the end of the current season as the Spanish club confirmed that they have the option to buy him. Valencia have been missing a prolific goal scorer this season, their leading scorer so far is Rodrigo with just four goals, but the Spanish forward has picked up an ankle injury. Simone Zaza was bought by Juventus in 2013, but the Italian champions made a co-ownership deal with Sassuolo and sent the player there to give him more chances to play. He scored 20 goals in 64 league appearances for Sassuolo before returning to Juventus in 2015. He scored five league goals in 19 appearances last season and also earned a place in the Italian national team. Valencia are 16/1 at Bet365 to get relegated this season.
