Premier League: Hull vs Everton preview
The Premier League weekend gets an early start on Friday evening when Hull play host to Everton at the KCOM stadium. The two sides have last met two seasons ago, when the Tigers got relegated, but Everton were unable to beat them in any of the two matches that were played in that campaign. However, the Toffees have won three of the last six direct meetings, while Hull grabbed two wins. Hull have not won in seven matches and are glued to the last spot in the Premier League table. During that seven-match spell, they managed to avoid defeat on just two occasions, and both of those were home matches. Last time out they got beaten 3-0 at home by Manchester City on Boxing Day, their third consecutive defeat. Manager Mike Phelan has six players injured: Moses Odubajo, Alex Bruce, Greg Luer, Abel Hernandez, Will Keane and Brian Lenihan. Everton continue to have an up and down season, with good performances and results followed by disappointing matches. However, the top six is still within reach for the Toffees, all they need is to put together a string of good results. Last time out they grabbed a good 2-0 victory at Leicester, a nice result to recover from the Merseyside derby defeat. Muhamed Besic, Yannick Bolasie and James McCarthy are injured, while Matthew Pennington, Maarten Stekelenburg and Arouna Kone will have to face late fitness tests. Probable line-ups: Hull: Marshall - Maguire, Dawson, Davies - Elmohamady, Meyler, Mason, Clucas, Robertson - Snodgrass - Mbokani Everton: Robles - Coleman, Jagielka, Williams, Baines - Gueye, Barry - Deulofeu, Barkley, Mirallas - Lukaku My prediction: Everton to win 2-1. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Hull win - 4.20 Draw - 3.50 Everton win - 1.85
