Big match in the Bundesliga on Wednesday as reigning champions Bayern Munich play host to surprise-package RB Leipzig with the two teams tied on 36 points at the top of the table. The two teams have never met before as RB Leipzig were only founded seven years ago, in 2009, and worked their way to the top of German football rather quickly. Last season they earned promotion from the second tier but they didn't win the league, they only finished second and nobody was expecting them to be at the top of the Bundesliga at Christmas.
Bayern Munich have been dominating German football for quite some time now, and this season they have lost just one of their fifteen matches so far. They are on a five-game winning streak in all competitions at the moment, but before that they had a poor run of three games without a win and two consecutive defeats. Last week they squeezed past Darmstadt in a 1-0 away win, they will have to play better than that against Leipzig. Kingsley Coman, Jerome Boateng and Julian Green are injured, while Arjen Robben could make his return from injury.
RB Leipzig had an amazing season so far, they were unbeaten in the Bundesliga until two weeks ago but they lost 1-0 at Ingolstadt on December 10. They recovered from that defeat with a 2-0 victory over Hertha Berlin last week, a result which leaves them even with Bayern at the top of the table. Lukas Klostermann, Marvin Compper and Kyriakos Papadopoulos are injured and will miss Wednesday's match, but Marcel Halstenberg and Naby Keita might recover in time for the big clash.
Bayern: Neuer - Lahm, Martinez, Hummels, Alaba - Vidal, Alcantara - Robben, Muller, Ribery - Lewandowski
RB Leipzig: Gulacsi - Schmitz, Ilsanker, Orban, Bernardo - Sabitzer, Kaiser, Demme, Forsberg - Werner, Poulsen
My prediction: Bayern Munich to win 2-1.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
Bayern win - 1.40
Draw - 4.75
RB Leipzig win - 7.00

I think Bayern Munich are clear favorites here. Leipzig had some really good matches this season but they have a really young team. And playing at the reigning champions stadium is very hard for young players. In my opinion Bayern will keep a clean sheet and will score two or three goals against the newly promoted team. My prediction is: Bayern 2 - 0 Leipzig.
I don't think it would be so easy for Bayern as GREGJO thinks, the Leipzig team might be young but they flying high at the moment and it wont be a easy game for the favourite I think.
Of course Bayern is a favourite and of course they have a lot more experience in this kind of games but that doesn't mean Leipzig are doomed to failure, one goal win for Bayern or a draw I think.
Must admit that I've been completely wrong about this one, it's 3-0! HT
