Premier League: Leicester City vs Manchester City preview

Reigning champions Leicester City face title contenders Manchester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday in a match that could further push Claudio Ranieri's team towards the relegation zone. Last season the Foxes clinched a 0-0 draw at home and a 3-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium, but those good old days seem far behind now. Leicester have not won any of their last seven home matches against Man City in all competitions.

Leicester have not won any of their last five Premier League matches and lost three of them. The only thing they can be happy about is that they pulled through to the Champions League knockout phase, but that might not be a consolation in case they get relegated from the Premier League. Claudio Ranieri and his men need to turn things around as soon as possible, otherwise they could be heading towards the Championship. Danny Drinkwater is suspended for this match, while Kasper Schmeichel's timely recovery is in doubt.

Manchester City were dealt a severe blow last weekend as they got beaten at home by leaders Chelsea. Not only did they lose the match 3-1 after having a 1-0 lead at half time, but now three of their players are suspended after having picked up yellow and red cards in that game. Sergio Aguero was handed a four-match ban, Fernandinho is suspended for three matches, while Nicolas Otamendi is banned for just one match. Vincent Kompany is still injured, but Raheem Sterling and Fabian Delph might be able to play.

Probable line-ups:

Leicester: Zieler - Fuchs, Morgan, Huth, Simpson - Albrighton, Amartey, King, Mahrez - Slimani, Vardy

Man City: Bravo - Sagna, Stones, Kolarov, Clichy - Gundogan, Toure - De Bruyne, Silva, Nolito - Iheanacho

My prediction: 1-1 draw.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Leicester win - 5.25
Draw - 4.00
Man City win - 1.70

It was great performance by Leicester City and fully deserved victory in the end. Right, the game started great for them when they scored with the first two attemts at the net but that were a and a bit lucky great shots and they have made anything right after that to increase and preserve the lead.
City looking very shaky in the season so far and I doubt they would triumph in the end.
