Premier League: Manchester City vs Chelsea preview
In-form Manchester City host Chelsea on Monday evening in a much anticipated battle between the Premier League's most prolific attack and its tightest defence. City have won 17 of their 18 matches at Etihad Stadium this season, scoring a fabulous 72 goals in the process. The Citizens have won all 11 of their Premier League matches at home, bagging 42 goals. They can score on the road as well lately, last week they smashed Tottenham 5-1 at White Hart Lane. Manuel Pellegrini's men are on an eight-match winning streak and have scored 68 goals in 23 Premier League fixtures. Man City are two points behind league leaders Arsenal, which means that a win could take them back at the top of the table. Chelsea are third, three points behind City. Jose Mourinho's men have built their success this season on a rock-solid defence, conceding just three goals in their last eight matches. The last defeat for Chelsea was at Stoke City on December 7th. The Blues will travel to the Etihad Stadium two times in the space of 12 days as they will also face Manchester City in the fifth round of the FA Cup on February 15th. Jose Mourinho says his men will try to win both games. "Chelsea try to win every game," the Portuguese manager said. "We are not going to change our philosophy. We are going in a certain direction, and just because we are playing a certain opponent doesn't mean we are going to change that." Chelsea won the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge in October, they clinched it 2-1 thanks to a late goal from Fernando Torres. The Spaniard will miss this match with a knee problem while City's star striker Sergio Aguero will also be out after picking up a hamstring injury last week. Here are the odds for Monday's big match at Bet365: Manchester City win - 17/20 Draw - 27/10 Chelsea win - 15/4
