Title contenders Manchester City visit Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday, hoping to get the three points and move to the top of the table, even for just a few hours. It might be a tough match for the Citizens though as Burnley have a good recent history against Man City. Two seasons ago Burnley got relegated, but they have not lost against Man City: they snatched a 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium and a 1-0 victory at home. Manchester City have not beaten Burnley since 2010.
Newly-promoted Burnley have enjoyed a pretty good season so far, they are 12th in the Premier League table and four points above the relegation zone. However, losing streaks could drag them towards the bottom of the table, and that's what they will be trying to avoid on Saturday. On Monday they suffered a comprehensive 4-0 beating at West Brom, a result which ended a three-match unbeaten streak.
Manchester City managed to snap a six-game winless streak at the end of October and since then they managed to earn qualification to the Champions League knockout phase with a group match to spare. Last weekend they won 2-1 at Crystal Palace, extending a Premier League unbeaten run to three games, while on Tuesday they recorded a 1-1 draw at Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League. Vincent Kompany is out with a knee injury.
Burnley: Heaton - Lowton, Keane, Mee, Ward - Gudmundsson, Hendrick, Marney, Defour, Arfield - Vokes
Man City: Bravo, Zabaleta, Otamendi, Stones, Kolarov - Fernandinho, Toure - De Bruyne, Silva, Nolito - Aguero
My prediction: Manchester City to win 2-0.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
