UEFA Champions League: Sevilla vs Juventus preview
Sevilla will be looking to avoid defeat when they host Italian champions Juventus on Tuesday, a draw would put the home side through to the first knockout round with a game to spare. Sevilla held out for a 0-0 draw in the reverse fixture in September. The two sides have also met in the Champions League last season, with Sevilla winning 1-0 at home and losing 2-0 in Italy. The Spanish side failed to qualify for the knockout rounds of the Champions League, but it ended well for them as they won the Europa League instead. Sevilla are still unbeaten in this season's Champions League campaign, they have recorded three wins along with the draw against Juventus, a series of results which puts them at the top of the table with two games left to play. Moreover, they scored six goals so far and kept a clean sheet throughout their four Champions League matches. Last weekend they did have a bit of trouble in LaLiga though as they had to fight back from 2-0 down to beat Deportivo La Coruna 3-2. Samir Nasri did not play in that match due to an injury, but he might recover for Tuesday's game. Juventus are also unbeaten so far in the Champions League, but they have recorded two wins and two draws so far. Last time out they got held to a 1-1 draw at home at Lyon, a result that keeps the French side in with a chance if Juventus fail to beat Sevilla. The Italian champions are unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions and last weekend they recorded a comfortable 3-0 Serie A victory over Pescara. Gianluigi Buffon, Miralem Pjanic, Giorgio Chiellini, Claudio Marchisio and Dani Alves were all rested at the weekend for the Champions League game. Paulo Dybala, Marko Pjaca and Andrea Barzagli are injured. Probable line-ups: Sevilla: Rico - Mariano, Pareja, Rami, Escudero - Iborra, Kranevitter, N'Zonzi - Vitolo, Vietto, Nasri Juventus: Buffon - Rugani, Bonucci, Chiellini - Alves, Pjanic, Hernanes, Khedira, Sandro - Higuain, Mandzukic My prediction: 1-1 draw.
