Formula 1: Lewis Hamilton pushes title battle into final race of the season

Lewis Hamilton delivered a flawless performance to win the Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday, taking the fight for the world title into the final race of the season. This was his ninth win of the season but his first ever at the Brazilian Grand Prix. The race was full of suspense due to rain, it produced several accidents, it was stopped twice, and the safety car was called in no less than five times. Nico Rosberg finished second behind Hamilton, which means his lead in the drivers' classification is now cut to 12 points. However, the German will win the title if he finishes at least third in Abu Dhabi.

Red Bull's young Dutch driver Max Verstappen could have finished second, he surely was fast enough, but he gambled on fitting intermediate tyres on lap 43. The decision backfired as rain started to pour again, so he was forced to switch back to wet tyres. He came back to the track in 13th place and started an amazing fightback, which eventually took him to a well-deserved third place. As for Lewis Hamilton, he led the race from start to finish and never looked like losing his position.

"Not too bad, huh," Hamilton said after the race. "I was generally just chilling up front. When it rains it's usually a good day for me. It was tricky for everyone. There were definitely opportunities for aquaplaning, which everyone did. No mistakes, no issues, no spins. It was kind of interesting to hear how many people were spinning, but I didn't have that problem. I have always wanted to win since I watched Ayrton Senna win here in 1991. It has taken me a long time to get here and it is a historic day for me. To stand on the podium in Brazil where Ayrton was so loved was really special."

Nico Rosberg is now 1/5 at Bet365 to win the Drivers' Championship, while Lewis Hamilton is 10/3 to clinch the title.

So there will be another dramatic finish to the season in the last race, and again Rosberg should be the worrying side, all the nerves will be on him in this last race but he have to show he's ready be a champion...or maybe not.
I'm very glad of what Max Verstappen doing this season, his father "Jos the Boss" is my favourite all time F1 rider so I'm definitely fan of Max now, hopefully he will continue to improve in the next seasons.
