Serie A: AC Milan vs Juventus preview

Third-placed AC Milan will be looking to extend their unbeaten streak when they host Juventus on Saturday at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, but the reigning champions are on a winning streak of their own. The two sides have met three times last season and Juventus won on all three occasions, including the Coppa Italia final. AC Milan have not beaten their rivals in a competitive match since 2012.

After a poor start to the season with two defeats in three games, Vincenzo Montella's AC Milan have recovered and went on a five-match unbeaten streak, with four wins in the process. Last weekend they secured a 3-1 victory at Chievo, a result which pushed them up in third place, tied with second-placed Napoli but five points behind leaders Juventus.
Andrea Bertolacci, Matias Fernandez, Luca Antonelli and Riccardo Montolivo are injured but Carlos Bacca is back and ready to play.

Juventus are preparing for another season of domination in Italian football, they played eleven matches so far this season in all competitions, won nine of them and lost just one. They have won their last six matches in all competitions, scoring 15 goals in the process and conceding just one. Last weekend Paulo Dybala scored two goals in the 2-1 victory over Udinese, while in midweek the Bianconeri secured a narrow 1-0 Champions League win at Lyon. Head coach Massimiliano Allegri does have some injury worries though, as Daniele Rugani, Kwadwo Asamoah, Mario Mandzukic and Giorgio Chiellini are all out of contention.

Probable line-ups:

AC Milan: Donnarumma - Abate, Romagnoli, Paletta, De Sciglio - Kucka, Locatelli, Bonaventura - Suso, Bacca, Niang

Juventus: Buffon - Benatia, Bonucci, Barzagli - Alves, Khedira, Hernanes, Pjanic, Sandro - Higuain, Dybala

My prediction: Juventus to win 2-1.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

AC Milan win - 4.75
Draw - 3.75
Juventus win - 1.75
