Formula 1: Lewis Hamilton still hoping to win the title

British Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton is sure he still can beat Nico Rosberg to this season's world title, despite the setback that he suffered last weekend at the Malaysian Grand Prix. Hamilton was leading the race with a comfortable 22-second cushion over Rosberg with 15 laps to go but his Mercedes engine just blew. Rosberg now holds a 23-point lead in the drivers' rankings with just five races to go. In theory Hamilton can still win the title, but for that to happen he would need Rosberg to fail in at least one of the upcoming five races.

"I have no idea what's going to happen in these next five races, all I can do is do what I've done this weekend," Hamilton said in a post-race news conference. "Be as focused as I can possibly be, put in performances like I have done this weekend, and pray that the car holds together. I don't know if my two engines are going to make it, but I can only hope and if I perform the way I've performed this weekend everything is still to play for. I still have faith and hope and that's a powerful thing."

Hamilton has successfully fought back against Rosberg before. Back in 2014 he overcame a 29-point deficit in just three races and then won the title, while earlier this year Rosberg had a 43-point lead after the first five races of the season but Hamilton pulled back and overcame Rosberg after six more races. "I'll continue to fight more for sure, but at the end of the year if the higher power doesn't want me to be champion with everything that I've given towards it then I'll have to accept that," Hamilton added. "But as long as I end my year knowing I've given it everything and done everything I possibly could do, and we have done everything we possibly could do, that's all you can ask for."

Lewis Hamilton is 6/4 at Bet365 to win the Drivers Championship this season, while Nico Rosberg is the top favourite at 8/15.

Hamilton dreaming for the title and why not, there was so many dramatic finishes in the last years that everything is still possible and beside Rosberg had always been in the Luis shadow never been a able to sustain of the pressure in the deciding moments.
But... I think Nico had shown another level in comparison with the previous season s winning so many races especially after the summer break before which it looked like Hamilton will turn season around for yet another year, so it all depends from Nico and his nerves in the last weeks, and of course he needs a little bit of luck.
