Primera Liga: Valencia vs Alaves preview
Struggling Valencia will be looking to end their losing streak when they face unbeaten Alaves in the Primera Liga on Thursday. Valencia have just announced the sacking of head coach Pako Ayestaran after the disastrous start to the season, Salvador Gonzalez Marco took charge as interim boss. The two sides have not met since 2006, when Alaves got relegated from the top flight. The last time Alaves won at Valencia was in 2001. Valencia had a nightmare start to the season, their dreams of qualifying for the Champions League were shattered after four consecutive defeats. They could still recover under a new head coach, but the players are lacking confidence at the moment. Ezequiel Garay and Mat Ryan are injured and will not play on Thursday, but Enzo Perez will make his return from suspension. Newly-promoted Alaves have been a pleasant surprise so far this season as they are still unbeaten after four matches. It's true that three of those four results for draws, but the only win was a very big one as they have beaten Barcelona at Camp Nou in the biggest upset of the campaign so far. Zouhair Feddal is the only injured player in the squad, so most likely head coach Mauricio Pellegrino will field the same eleven as last week. Probable line-ups: Valencia: Alves - Cancelo, Abdenour, Mangala, Gaya - Medran, Perez, Parejo - Nani, Munir, Mina Alaves: Pacheco - Femenia, Garcia, Alexis, Laguardia, Hernandez - Mendez, Torres, Llorente, Gomez - Deyverson My prediction: 0-0 draw. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Valencia win - 1.55 Draw - 3.80 Alaves win - 7.00
