Sunderland are looking to make an offer for a season-long loan of Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, according to Sky Sports sources. Their chances of landing the England goalkeeper are not great though as Hart would probably prefer a high-profile club and also Sunderland will have to spend quite a bit in covering part of his rather hefty wages. Joe Hart is out of favour at the Etihad Stadium as new boss Pep Guardiola prefers a goalkeeper with better skills at covering the space behind the defence.
Willy Caballero has started all the Premier League games for Manchester City this season, and the club have also bought Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo. Joe Hart's last appearance for Manchester City was last week in the second leg of the Champions League playoff tie with Steaua Bucharest. Italian Serie A side Torino are also reported to be looking into the possibility of signing Joe Hart on loan.
Everton were also thought to be ready to make a move for hart, but Toffees manager Ronald Koeman said he was not interested. Spanish side Sevilla have also denied the possibility of making an offer for Hart. The 29-year-old goalkeeper joined Manchester City in 2006 and established himself as their number one after a few seasons spent on loan at Tranmere Rovers, Blackpool and Birmingham City. He has 266 league appearances for the Citizens.
You can bet on Joe Hart's future at SkyBet, here are the odds on which will be his club at the end of the current transfer window:
Napoli - 7/4 Torino - 5/2 Sunderland - 11/2 Man City - 6/1 Liverpool - 10/1

His salary will be paid in full because he still has a valid contract with City, but most likely Man City will still have to cover most of it if he goes on loan.

Sunderland could be stronger favourites for Joe Hart's sign than they look at first sight. I don't see many other teams interesting in him and if there isn't other think it's quite possible to see him there.
