Premier League: Bastian Schweinsteiger rules out move to another European club

Manchester United German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger revealed he has not desire of joining another European club, while still hoping to play for the Red Devils under new manager Jose Mourinho. The 32-year-old midfielder was excluded from the first team since Mourinho arrived at the club and has been training with the reserves side ever since. Schweinsteiger is one of the most successful German players in recent years, with eight Bundesliga titles and a Champions League won with Bayern Munich.

He joined Manchester United last summer under manager Louis van Gaal but only made 13 appearances in the Premier League due to frequent injuries that hindered his campaign. The midfielder revealed that he wants to remain at Old Trafford, but if the club want to sell him he will not agree to join another club in Europe. Fact is he doesn't have much choice regarding a move, as the American league transfer window is now close, and the Chinese Premier League clubs are also unable to sign new players at this time.

Schweinsteiger said on Twitter: "MUFC will be my last club in Europe. I respect other clubs. But Manchester United was the only one which could make me leave Bayern Munich. I will be ready, if the team needs me. This is all I can say about my current situation. I want to thank the fans for the amazing support over the last few weeks." Schweinsteiger has recently announced his retirement from international football after 120 caps and 24 goals scored for the German national team.

Manchester United are 11/4 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title this season.

In fact Bastian Schweinsteiger is not a lost cause for United I think, he's just 32 years of age which compared to the modern standards of longevity in football is not so much really.
The problem is if Mourinho would count on him and give Bastian enough playing time but honestly I doubt that will happen.
Anyway season is long so the German could have few decent chances showing himself.
