Barcelona have decided to get midfielder Denis Suarez back from Villarreal, and took advantage of a buy-back clause in his contract. The 22-year-old midfielder signed a four-year contract with Barcelona, with an option to extend it for another year. His new contract has a £42.04m buyout clause.
Villarreal had signed the attacking midfielder last summer after he had played the previous season on loan at Sevilla. He was one of the best players at the club as Villarreal finished fourth in the Primera Liga, with Suarez scoring 5 goals and delivering 13 assists in his 48 appearances in all competitions. Barcelona had to pay just 2.7 million pounds to get him back.
Denis Suarez came through the youth ranks at Celta Vigo but moved at Manchester City in 2011, at the age of 17. He failed to break into the first team set up at the Etihad Stadium and joined Barcelona after two seasons. He never managed to play for Barcelona's main team though, he mainly played for Barcelona B, then was loaned out at Sevilla and sold to Villarreal.

Suarez is another player who was in Barcelona's football school . Great talent and I am glad it is now come to Barcelona. He's young player and has a lot to help the team. He's a good assistant and had a good last season . Club management does a good job , sign contracts with young players who are the future of FC Barcelona...

No doubt that was a wise buy-back clause that was put in his contract by Barcelona. 2.7 million pounds is literally nothing for a young player like him especially after the season Denis Suarez with Villarreal. In the worst scenario I could imagine he will not break in the first team and will be sold for a lot higher amount...
