Back Euro 2016: Wales forward Hal Robson-Kanu gets several contract offers

Wales striker Hal Robson-Kanu, who is currently out of contract, says he has received various offers from all over the world after having scored a great goal in the Euro 2016 quarter-final victory over Belgium. Robson-Kanu, aged 27, has left Championship club Reading at the end of the season as his contract expired.

"There's offers from around the world," Robson-Kanu said. "I had offers before the tournament - good offers from good, progressive clubs - but I made a decision to wait." The striker has scored 5 goals in 35 matches for Reading last season and says he would want to play Premier League football next term. "I've made no secret of my desire to play in the Premier League and if that's the best place for me then I'll be there," he added. "I made a decision to run my contract at Reading down. I've been there 12 years, given a lot of service and felt it was the best decision for myself and my career to decide where I go next. I've been aware of clubs coming in for me in the past, bigger clubs. For whatever reason, it didn't happen, so it's probably one of the best decisions of my life."

Robson-Kanu's stunning goal against Belgium was just his fourth in 34 appearances for the Welsh national team. He started the European Championship on the bench but after coming in as a substitute to score the winning goal against Slovakia he was given a place in the starting eleven. He lost the spot to Sam Vokes for the matches against Russia and Northern Ireland, but then returned to the starting line-up for the surprising win over Belgium.

Wales are 8/1 at Bet365 to pull off a huge upset and win the 2016 European Championship.
