Two of the best teams at Euro 2016 will clash in Saturday's quarter-final as reigning world champions Germany take on Italy. The Italians have a very good track record against the Germans, they have never lost against them in a competitive match and have beaten them in three semi-finals. On the other hand, Germany have never lost in the quarter-finals at an European Championship, while Italy have won twice and lost twice at this stage of the tournament.
Germany are the only team that is yet to concede a goal at Euro 2016, they ended the group stage with two wins and a goalless draw and then breezed past Slovakia 3-0 in the round of 16. They have met Italy in a friendly game in March and won it 4-1 in Munich. Jonas Hector was one of the goal scorers in that friendly but he might miss out this time due to illness.
Italy have been quite impressive so far at Euro 2016, they won three of their four matches so far without conceding and their only loss, 1-0 to Ireland, came when they had the qualification from the group stage already secured. The previous round saw Italy secure a solid 2-0 triumph over reigning champions Spain, a result that gives Antonio Conte and his men plenty of confidence. However, central midfielders Daniele De Rossi (injured) and Thiago Motta (suspended) will miss out and their absence could prove crucial.
Germany: Neuer - Kimmich, Boateng, Hummels, Hector - Kroos, Khedira - Muller, Ozil, Draxler - Gomez
Italy: Buffon - Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini - Florenzi, Giaccherini, Parolo, Sturaro, De Sciglio - Eder, Pelle
My prediction: 0-0 after 90 minutes.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
Germany win - 2.25
Draw - 3.00
Italy win - 4.00

This is finals before finals. Biggest game of quatter finals for sure. Germany is a World cup winner, with France biggest favourite to win Euro before tournament started. Italians are doing Italian things. Playing with their hearts, tactically 100% and that is why they are so far biggest upset in this tournament. I think that this game is going to be very close, and you boys should skip bets for tonight xD. We shouldnt see more then 3 goals.
It was clash of the titans but first half was awful, especially by Italian team, which played tipical italian style , to carefull to defensive so i think Germany deserved to go thru bacuse they play a lot more atractive football.. Im just sorry for Buffon i hope this isnt his last big tournament.
It was the game that have been considered as the vital one, final before the final but apparently it didn't seemed to be exactly that. But it was great nevertheless, the penalties were really exiting especially the missed one from Pele after which he looked like an idiot! Nevto leave er been Juventus or Buffon fan but I was devastated the way he've had to leave squadra crying.
