Jose Mourinho's Manchester United remain in the race for the signature of Borussia Dortmund's Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but the German club don't want to sell their star. However, since Mkhitaryan's contract will run out at the end of next season, Dortmund will most likely be persuaded to sell instead of losing him on a free transfer next summer. Manchester United have signed just one new player this summer: Villarreal defender Eric Bailly.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan's agent Mino Raiola says he is confident that the Armenia international will join Manchester United this summer. Mkhitaryan has already revealed that he will not be signing a new contract with Dortmund, but the German club insisted they will not sell him this summer. Borussia Dortmund have already lost two big names this summer as Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundongan left the club, and the club officials are insisting that no more stars will be allowed to leave.
Raiola says discussions with Manchester United are ongoing: βIt would be a sin to stop talking,β the agent said. βI am a positive guy. If I wasn't confident of reaching some kind of conclusion, I wouldn't try. I am very proud Manchester United want him and the talks are being held in a good atmosphere, but at the moment Dortmund are still saying no.β Manchester United are also reportedly chasing 34-year-old striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but agent Raiola says the Swedish star has not yet decided as he has received numerous offers from all over the world.
Manchester United are 4/1 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title next season.

It would be better for Dortmund of course to sell him now for a big amount now instead of loosing him next summer, it's just too much money to worth a risk. I'm in shock they will sell a player to United after all the previous attempt which they refused in the last years, but I guess it's because the transfer don't depends...

I'm in shock they will sell a player to United after all the previous attempt which they refused in the last years, but I guess it's because the transfer don't depends on them. As a United fan I'm annoyed by their transfer policy in the last couple of season and think they should stuck with the players they've all ready bought after so many millions spent.

I am sad to see Borussia Dortmund being unable to keep their key players. Just imagine the team if only all these players didn't left last couple of seasons. Just wow.. Of course Henrikh Mkhitaryan wants to leave. Why wouldn't he.. Their captain left, so did Ilkay Guendogan.. Reus said that he won't leave but that might...

Also, Borussia said that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cant leave and that they would rather see him go for free next season. Sad and weird politic by giant from Dortmund.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan was great in last season, I think that this would be fantastic transfer for Manchester United, they need some good playmaker and Mkhitaryan is one of the best, his assists are really awesome, he could be even better in Premier League, he will have better strikers, so if this transfer happen, it will be...
