Amaya’s PokerStars Premieres New Sports Betting Brand for French Market
Having just premiered in France's online gaming market, is Amaya's PokerStars latest sports betting brand, BetStars. Its latest product has been specifically optimized for French sports bettors on iOS and Android devices, and through its PokerStars.fr desktop client as well. The selection of sports in which players can currently bet on has started out small, with just 7 available, but the company has announced that it plans to significantly increase its collection over the course of the next few months. Along with expanding its selection of sports to bet on, it also plans to give customers a choice of both in-play options, and betting markets. French customers may also utilize a single wallet for all games relating to sports betting and poker, via BetStars.fr. The launch of the sports betting brand comes after a smaller premiere in limited jurisdictions back in December. It also follows on the heels of its Italian debut, which took place in May. According to Eric Hollresier, vice president of corporate communications for Amaya, “The launch of BetStars.fr means that French customers have a safe, secure and convenient place to bet on sports.” Hollreiser further added, “As we roll out our offering in different countries, we can see that the crossover between poker players and sports bettors is strong. We look forward to offering our French customers this seamless experience just in time for Euro 2016.” In celebration of their new brand, BetStars.fr will be hosting two exclusive offers, inspired by the Euro 2016 football championships, for customers to check it out.
