Spain suffered a very surprising 1-0 defeat against Georgia on Tuesday, in their final warm-up friendly before Euro 2016. Despite the result head coach Vicente del Bosque remains confident of a successful campaign at the final tournament. Spain are the only team to have won the European Championship twice in a row, in 2008 and 2012. They have been disappointing at the 2014 World Cup though, crashing out of the group stage after defeats to the Netherlands and Chile.
Spain will kick off their Euro 2016 campaign on Monday, when they face the Czech Republic in Group D. "We shouldn't set any limits," he said after the defeat against Georgia. "We can't say if we get to the semi-finals we will be happy, we need to aspire to win it. This is sport and we don't know how far we'll go, but we need to maintain the dream to fight for a third consecutive Euro title." The Spain head coach believes there are more than eight teams capable of winning the Euro 2016 crown.
"There are very good teams," he added. "The number of sides that can aspire to the title has grown. "We can't speak of just six or eight teams, but even more teams that have a chance for sure. Naturally in France when you look at the strikers they have, the number of midfielders, they are one of the favourites. They have players in midfield with extraordinary potential and a sensible coach. He is doing a great job."
Spain are 5/1 at Bet365 to win their third consecutive European Championship.

Well not only that I'm shocked how their friendly versus Georgia turned out, but I am even more shocked how bad Spain is playing. Lets be realistic, they won two euros and a world cup all in a row, but I think that glory days are over. That generation is kinda old now, Xavi retired, David Villa aswell... And now, he didnt invite Costa and Torres who showed improvement in their form during spring. I dont know, bookies give them decent chances but I dont think that they can even reach semis.
Who cares about that game, Spain is always the best in important games, we all know that Georgia is very weak and that this result is not realistic. Spain is for me one of favorites and I expect some big games on this EURO, they will start this competition with victory against Czech, I'm sure in that and I wish them everything the best :)
On Tuewsday Spain lost vs Georgia what is very suprising , but despite that Vicente Del Bosque confident.. I Think he have reason for that because what that match was just friendly. They play first match vs Czech and i think they will win that match very easy.
I think golden era of Spanish national football team is over, since there is no tandem Xavi Iniesta so i think they dont have a chance to win this tournement. And there is no great forward as before when Villa and Torres were in their best years. I dont know why Diego Costa isnt in team for Euro 2016.
For me Spain is favorite in this Euro 2016 tournament. Strong team is coming. They won last time played. Vicente del Bosque choice was very good. Alvaro Morata is the best player that Spain have at this moment. With Andres Iniesta, man of the desicion, everyone else have no chance in this Euro.
